dive.report desktop beta 0.1.0 RC8 — 17 October 2026 Apple Silicon / aarch64-apple-darwin Source commit: b23a30d3b23fc26cfebb0fd4e0058ac35fbd7006 This is the approved RC8 installer, unchanged from owner acceptance testing. The app still reports version 0.1.0. RC8 is identified by its download path, release manifest and SHA-256 checksum. Previous RC7 downloads remain available. The installer is Developer ID signed and Apple notarized. Configured minimum macOS: 12. No new minimum-macOS qualification is claimed. No Intel, Windows or Linux installer is offered in this release. CHANGED SINCE RC7 After signing in on a fresh desktop installation, users can open an existing account logbook and sync their dives. The app no longer funnels an empty new installation into creating another account logbook. A single account logbook can be opened directly; multiple logbooks are available to choose from. Existing local logs retain explicit connection choices. The owner tested the corrected new-computer flow and confirmed it works. INSTALL Open the DMG, drag dive.report into Applications, and open it from there. Start locally or sign in and open an existing account logbook. Sync requires internet. You do not need a publishing site to keep or sync private logs. Bluetooth support depends on the dive-computer model. UPDATES Updates are manual. Export a backup, quit dive.report, replace the app in Applications, and reopen it. Keep original photo files and external drives: logbook backups do not contain copies of external originals. Do not downgrade the executable over a library already migrated by a newer release. Users already on the approved RC8 candidate need not reinstall this same build. FEEDBACK hello@ravensofodin.com — include RC8, macOS version, device model (if relevant), steps to reproduce and the exact error. Please do not send passwords or private logs unless separately needed and agreed. THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS The companion dive-report-0.1.0-arm64-native-materials.tar.gz contains matching library source, notices, application object files and offline relinking tools. See THIRD-PARTY-NOTICE.txt and the archive README. Both downloads are public and require no GitHub, Apple or Ravens account. SHA256SUMS verifies the files.
